SWS Retreat Travel Information
The retreat will be in the hotel Inntaler Hof in Mösern, on the road between Telfs and Seefeld in Tirol. The hotel is at the lower end of the village. This page contains information on how to get there. If need be, the hotel telephone number is +43 5212 4747.
You can get by easily with English, as this is a tourist region and most people speak and understand English well. The local language is German.
By Airplane
The most convenient airports are Innsbruck (INN) and Munich (MUC).
Innsbruck airport is only served by a few airlines, for example Austrian Airlines (from Frankfurt, Vienna) and Easyjet (cities in the UK). The airport is at the edge of Innsbruck, with a good bus connection to the center, incl. the train station. From Innsbruck, follow the directions “By Train, Bus”. Taking a taxi all the way from Innsbruck is not recommended due to the high prices here.
Munich airport has direct connections to many major cities around the world, especially with Lufthansa. From the airport, there is an Airport Taxi which can take you directly to the hotel, the round trip costs €76 and takes around 3 hours. Reservation recommended, possible online or by telephone.
By Car
Mösern is on the road from Seefeld to Telfs, as shown in the map below.
Coming from the north, German highways take you to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, from which you drive through Seefeld to Mösern (direction Telfs). Coming from Seefeld, the hotel is at the far end of the village.
Coming from Innsbruck, either by Autobahn (motorway) from the east (Munich, Salzburg) or from the south (Italy), it’s best to drive on A12 to Telfs, take exit 101 Telfs Ost and drive towards Seefeld. You will reach the hotel at the beginning of Mösern. Same directions apply when coming from the west (Switzerland).
There is parking available at the hotel. Please let Jacek know if you are planning to come by car, in case of heavy demand we may need to let the hotel know how many parking places we’ll need. We might also organize car sharing between participants.
Seefeld in Tirol is on a railway line from Innsbruck to Munich through Garmisch-Partenkirchen. This is not the main line between Munich and Innsbruck, so be careful. From Seefeld train station, you can take a taxi to the hotel, or the bus 4186.
There is a bus connection between Telfs and Seefeld (bus 4186, connection search at the pages of Austrian Railways). The bus stop “Mösern b.Seefeld Kirche” is just up the road from the hotel. It’s best to tell the driver to drop you off there.
