We provide various types of training activities as well as training infrastructure in field of semantics and semantic technologies for academia and industry.
Semantic technologies are increasingly gaining momentum in public and in corporate settings. Consequently there is a need to intensify educational efforts within universities and research institutes to set up and establish a sustainable interdisciplinary international community of trained qualified young professionals at public and private level. Leveraging the wide range of competencies and expertise provided by individual members and their successful collaboration in previous projects, STI is an ideal environment to achieve this goal. This applies in particular for activities such as the generation of training materials, the implementation of joint educational programs or the establishment of training certificates, activities which can be successfully carried on only with the help of a large community of highly qualified experts in the field of semantics.
STI can also be the legal and operational framework to provide administrative and managerial support to its members in the realization of specific training and educational events. This ranges from hosting specific workshops, tutorials or other types of training events in STI conferences to the on-demand organization of events of any kind and their provision with the help of affiliated STI training experts and/or using STI training materials.
